Japan A-Z: Johnny’s
If you read this blog regularly, you will know I am obsessed with J-Pop sensation, SMAP. SMAP are signed to legendary label Johnny and Associates, who pretty much rule the male J-Pop world. But today I want to talk about SMAP’s little brothers, Hey! Say! Jump!
There are 10 pubescent boys in this super group, and get this, Hey! Say! represents the fact that all the members are born in the Heisei period (kinda like Gen Y. I should also mention here that if something is kinda 80’s or old school, you can refer to it as Showa), and JUMP! stands for Johnny’s Ultra Music POWER! So COOL!
Anyway, rather than go on and on about them, I am going to post one of my favourite power pop songs from the time I spent in Japan. Aptly titled Dreams Comes True:
