Melbourne artist Eveline Tarunadjaja is having a solo show. I love her illustrations, so I think you will too! Ev was featured in the first issue of our zine, you may remember.
Head on down to The No Vacancy Gallery in Melbourne from March 11.
I picked up an issue of this cute mag when I was in Christchurch. It’s full of crafty/sustainable goodness, and you can order it online from their website. Kawaii.
Technically, these photos span Friday and Saturday of this week, but who’s counting?
Friday Amy and I sat in Hyde Park and ate these cuties from Cupcakes on Pitt. After shopping on Crown St., we hopped over to The Clare for some Friday night beers. Saturday was spent at The Finders Keepers Markets, I picked up a dress from the Frankie store, and some sunflowers from The Eveleigh Market, across the lot.
I finally got my left over Zines back from Newcastle today. I am going to be selling the rest on our ETSY if you are interested, with all the profits going to the Australian Youth Climate Coalition.
I interviewed Anna Rose from AYCC and was going to include it in the next issue of lovegeek. But I have decided instead to cease making the zine, and will be putting the interview up here on the blog instead.
The zines will be US3.50.

Sorry I’ve been off the radar, but I’ve been busy making zines for the TINA zine fair this Sunday! If you are in Newcastle, head on down! More info here.
I am so excited to get started on this. It will feature a collection of interviews from across all 4 issue of lovegeek’s online zine and we will be selling it at the TINA zine fair, and online. All proceeds with be donated to a charity - so if you have any ideas for peeps doing good work out there, give us a bell.
I have been collecting stationary supplies to make the zine pretty. I ordered these cute masking tapes from Uguisu, an amazing shop that ships from Japan.
I received a nice tax return last week, and immediately went online to notemaker and purchased some O-Check goods. I also scored an entire roll of vintage wallpaper from a antique store in Newtown (only 15 bucks)! Super Awesome Find.
A little while ago I applied for Andrew Denton’s new youth ABC show, Project Next.
I was lucky enough to score and interview and meet the man himself, which was great. He was a really nice dude and genuinely interested in what I had to say. Although shortlisted, I was not chosen for the final Project Next crew (I heard a rumour they were going to change this name in the process, I hope this is true). Anyway, my mole at the ABC tells me that work will begin on the new show later this month, so watch out for their online and TV content hitting Australian audiences later this year.
For the application I had to make a small video piece on a subject I thought was news worthy. Naturally, I chose craft. So here is the video I made in 3 short, hung over days right before I left Osaka in March (I flew out the day the applications were due - thank god for Japan’s high speed internet, google docs and Vimeo!).
